Lead as a Communications Visionary

The online M.S. in Communications program features five core courses to equip you with a foundation in digital communications practices. Students also choose between one of four specializations—advertising, public relations, journalism innovation and media management—to align their studies with your area of interest. Students attend two in-person immersions and complete the capstone, an independent project focused on digital communications innovation.

  • Live online classes taught by expert Newhouse faculty
  • Specialized coursework to deepen your industry knowledge
  • Diverse network of passionate professionals

The online M.S. in Communications Management program offers a hybrid curriculum intentionally designed into a blend of communications, business management and leadership courses. Delivered in collaboration with the Martin J. Whitman School of Management, this empowering degree prepares communications professionals for leadership positions.

Working closely with expert faculty across each school, students explore core course topics such as finance, strategies for a digital world, and applied research and analysis. Students also investigate specialized areas, like media law, multimedia storytelling and inclusive leadership.
