The online M.S. in Information Management leads to a Master of Science in Library and Information Sciences: School Media. The Certificate of Advanced Study in School Media is for those who already possess an accredited master’s degree in library and information science. The designed outcome of these programs is to lead to a Library Media Specialist Initial Certificate within New York. Other state licensing boards may require applicants to hold a teaching credential and/or have prior professional teaching experience to work as a school media specialist.

Students are expected to complete their own due diligence when researching licensure requirements.
