The MSCHE is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

The Whitman School is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the leading accreditor of business schools. The School was accredited in 1920, making it the 16th business school in the nation to receive AACSB accreditation.

S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications is accredited by The Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC), a nonprofit educational association whose mission is to promote the highest possible standards for journalism and mass communication education.

The Master of Science in Library and Information Science, Master of Science in Library and Information Science: School Media, and Certificate of Advanced Study in School Media programs are accredited by the American Library Association (ALA) Committee on Accreditation, with the status of Continued accreditation. The next comprehensive review visit is scheduled for Fall 2030.¹ This ALA accreditation provides flexibility in the types of libraries and jobs for which students can apply and further enhances career mobility. In fact, many employers require an ALA-accredited master’s degree for professional level positions.

Syracuse MSW Online is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education’s Commission on Accreditation (CSWE).
