Designed to expedite the learning process and help our students apply new skills to their role in real time, each short course can be completed in as few as eight weeks. In addition, each course is led by a senior faculty member from Syracuse University that is an expert in their field. Please note, short courses are non-credit bearing and cannot be accepted as part of a degree-bearing program.
Finance for Non-Financial Managers
Offering a holistic view of finance, this course focuses on more than just the quantitative aspects of financial decision-making. Students are given insight into corporate finance, how larger-scale organizations invest, and the effects that shareholders have on businesses.
This course aims to equip women in business with the critical skills needed to lead teams and increase their influence in the workplace. Students gain practical knowledge on subjects such as overcoming failure aversion, negotiating effectively, driving diversity and innovation, and promoting a strong personal brand.
Students in our short courses will complete self-paced coursework delivered by Syracuse University faculty that takes an average of six to eight hours per week. These courses are 100 percent online and powered by GetSmarter, a 2U Inc. brand. Upon completion, each student will earn a certificate from Syracuse University that they can use to differentiate themselves from their competition.
